Description: Babassu Oil is similar to Coconut Oil in that it comes from palm fruit, is solid at room temperature, melts on skin contact and contains the same vitamins and fatty acids. However, it does have some advantages over Coconut such as it is lighter in consistency and it's improved absorption rate into the skin and hair without leaving a greasy residue. In addition to its ability to deeply moisturise skin, Babassu oil is also anti-microbial, provides a good amount of vitamin E which aids in cell regeneration and is rich in lauric acid, the main component in Babassu oil which is naturally anti-inflammatory.

Colour: Lightly yellow to white fat

Aromatic Description: Babassu Carrier Oil has very little scent characteristic of most carrier oils.

Common Uses: A perfect choice for treating chapped lips, mild burn, shallow cuts, cracked heels and other minor wounds. Gently apple a small amount of Babassu to bug bites, stings, plant rashes, areas affected by eczema, psoriasis or rosacea, as well as chapped, burned or irritated skin to relieve discomfort and reduce redness and inflammation. 

Consistency: Solid at room temperature. Product can be placed in a water bath to liquefy.

Absorption: Absorbs into skin at average speed, slight oil feeling left on skin.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 24 months with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
